Adoration
In Lourdes, we are led “to Jesus through Mary”.
Meeting with the Lord is a particularly intense experience during Eucharistic adoration. It is about taking time with Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament and, in deep contemplation, letting oneself be carried away by Him, facing the host exposed in the monstrance, in an intimate and personal heart to heart.
In the Sanctuary, the Chapel of Adoration, dedicated specifically to this meeting with the Lord, is located behind the Saint Bernadette church. You will find the entrance by going round to the left of the church.
Between 1st November and 25th March, Adoration moves to the Crypt.
Adoration can serve as preparation for or extension of participation in the Mass, and can also be experienced particularly powerfully in union with all the pilgrims present in the Eucharistic Procession.
