How do I organise a group pilgrimage to the Sanctuary?<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>

If you want to book Mass times, participate in processions, visits and activities to discover the message of Lourdes, you need to register.<\/p>

Why is it important to register?
<\/i><\/span><\/strong>Registering is important so that we can give you a high quality welcome. If we know you are coming, we can adapt what we do for you, the languages \u200b\u200bof the celebrations etc.
If you register, you can make a variety of requests, for example, a celebration of mass at the grotto or in a chapel at the Sanctuary, guided tours with a pastoral leader from the Sanctuary, room for vigils, a time of adoration, audio-visual equipment, etc.<\/span><\/p>

Is it free to register?
<\/span><\/strong><\/em>Yes, registration is free. However, any resources made available to you have a cost. The Sanctuary of Lourdes only survives through donations. The sacristans and the people who welcome you are employees of the Sanctuary. The maintenance of the premises, the equipment made available to you all have a cost. Therefore, we thank you for the offering that we very much hope you will make.<\/p>

Join the \u201cPilgrims on Watch\u201d network<\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Every week, \u201cPilgrims on Watch<\/strong>\u201d actively contribute to the security of the Sanctuary of Lourdes<\/strong>. Working on a voluntary basis, they keep an eye on what\u2019s going on around them and report any suspicious behaviour to the Central Security Office, while going about their pilgrimage as normal.

To participate in this network<\/strong>, the directors of each pilgrimage should register named volunteers<\/strong> on OPAL. These volunteers will undergo brief awareness raising training and then join in this surveillance project. Participation is a Christian commitment to this iconic place of worship and an enriching experience founded on a spirit of solidarity and responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>
